About the Journal

Journal of Constitutional and State Law (JCSL) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study and development of constitutional and state law. The journal provides a scholarly forum for researchers, academics, legal practitioners, policymakers, and students to critically examine contemporary issues concerning constitutionalism, state institutions, governance, democracy, and the rule of law.

JCSL welcomes original research articles, theoretical studies, comparative analyses, and critical reviews addressing various dimensions of constitutional and state law, both within Indonesia and in comparative international contexts. The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches that connect constitutional law with political science, public administration, human rights, Islamic law, governance, and other related fields.

The journal covers topics including constitutional law, constitutional interpretation, judicial review, constitutional courts, state institutions, separation of powers, legislative and executive authority, electoral law, decentralization and regional autonomy, human rights and constitutional rights, democracy, constitutional reform, public governance, comparative constitutional law, and other emerging issues related to the organization and exercise of state power.

JCSL is committed to promoting rigorous, ethical, and evidence-based scholarship that contributes to the advancement of constitutional thought, legal scholarship, and the development of democratic and rule-of-law-based governance.
